Why Join the League?
The League of Women Voters of Plainfield believes that democracy depends on the informed and active participation
of its citizens, and we are committed to empowering citizens with the meaningful information needed to make sound decisions
for our democracy. Join the League, a respected, national grassroots organization that acts on important issues...issues
affecting you, your community, and our nation! Issues on which you can make a difference!
To join we need a completed application and membership dues for the first year.
Annual membership dues are $50.00 for individuals, and $75.00 for households.
The League also has memberships available on a sliding scale.

Who Can Join?
Membership is open to all women and men who subscribe to its purpose; any citizen aged 18 or older can join. The
League is supported by membership dues and contributions from public-spirited individuals, businesses and organizations.
Members may join through any level of the League, and with membership comes the opportunity to work on local, state,
regional and national public policy issues.
Benefits of Joining
There are several benefits to becoming a member of our organization. League members enjoy participating in our voter
education and voter registration drives, serving on our various committees, and volunteering at our candidate forums
for school board and municipal elections. Our common interest is in assisting citizens in exercising their
political rights.
