2009 MEETINGS
Thursday, September 10 - Membership and Board Meeting -
Plainfield Public Library, Lower Level Meeting Room, 7:00 - 8:30 pm.
Our Annual Dinner & Meeting will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2009. The dinner is scheduled
for 6:30 pm at Giovanna's on South Avenue in Plainfield. Please RSVP to Raquel Horn at: ryhorn@aol.com or (908) 405-4715.
In addition to enjoying a delicious meal, new officers will be elected for the
coming year, and the League's 2009/10 goals will be outlined.
Our next Membership and Board Meeting will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2009 -
Plainfield Public Library, Lower Level Meeting Room, 7:00 - 8:30 pm.
The annual meeting will be in June (date TBA). There are no League meetings in July and
August. Check back for the schedule of meetings for September through December of 2009.

and education official Gordon A. MacInnes and Plainfield Schools Superintendent Steve Gallon III will speak on education issues

Conference,in support of Abbott and equitable education funding, sponsored by Our Children/Our Schools, A Statewide
Education Justice Campaign, outside the Richard J. Hughes Justice Complex in Trenton. That day, inside that building, the
N.J. Supreme Court will hear attorneys from the state and from Education
Law Center argue about the constitutionality
of the School Funding Reform Act of 2008 (SFRA) and the future of Abbott. Local LWV president Herb Green hopes he can organize
Plainfield residents to participate in the rally and
